EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's soccer team fell 3-0 Saturday afternoon at home to Augsburg University.
The Auggies recorded their first goal of the day at the 13:11 mark of the first half and added a second later in the half to take a 2-0 lead at the break.
Augsburg tallied the game's only second-half goal despite being outshot by the Blugolds, 7-6.
Sammie Lefaive (Sr. – Coon Rapids, MN) took the loss in net, saving 7 of 10 Augsburg shots on goal. Emma Stange (Fr. – Anoka, MN) led the Blugolds with three shot attempts, followed by Krista Koenig (Fr. – Ringle, WI) and Monica Zoellner (Sr. – East Troy, WI) with two shots each.
