  • Has been the assistant track and field coach (throws) at UW-Eau Claire January 1996
    • Three national champions (John Schuna, Sam Johnson, Tyler Genovese)
    • Six national runner–up finishers
    • 33 All-Americans (competitors who finish in the top 8 at the National Championships)
    • One National Field Event Scholar of the Year (Tyler Genovese)
  • Education
    • Graduated from UW-Platteville in 1993 with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering-Transportation and Construction Management emphasis
  • Previous coaching experience
    • La Crosse Logan High School (1995)
    • Boys swept shot put and discus (had the top three finishers) at the conference meet
    • Had three boys qualify for the WIAA State Track and Field Meet, two in the shot put and one in the discus
  • College playing experience
    • Three-time national champion in the shot put
    • Five time All-American thrower
    • Ranked 10th in the United States in the shot put in 1993 (62-7.25)
    • WIAC record holder in the shot put (1993)
    • Named to the WIAC All-Time track team
    • Inducted into UW-Platteville Hall of Fame in 2010
  • Currently serves as the Technical Services Manager for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation-Northwest Region
    • Licensed Professional Engineer – Wisconsin
    • Member of the American Society of Civil Engineers
  • He and his wife Wendy have two children:  son Ryan and daughter Ashlynn
