EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - Three UW-Eau Claire Athletics teams were in action today, women's volleyball hosting a tournament, while the other two teams were on the road.

Competing for the first time at home this season, the women's volleyball team split on the first day of the 2014 Sandy Schumacher Memorial Tournament in the McPhee Physical Education Center. The Blugolds opened the day against 20th-ranked University of St. Thomas (Minn.) with a 3-0 loss (25-22, 25-16, 25-19) and then defeated Carroll University 3-0 (25-18, 25-17, 25-16) to end the day.
UW-Whitewater Fall Invitational - 4th of 13
After day one of the UW-Whitewater Fall Invitational, the women's golf team is in fourth place out of 13 teams with 333 strokes, 11 off the leader, Hope College (Mich.). Emily Stone, Mandi Salo and Katie Moore all led the Blugolds on day one, finishing with 83 strokes, tied for 10th place.
