DECORAH, Iowa (Blugolds.com) - The UW-Eau Claire women's cross country team put all five of its scoring runners in the top 10 of the race to take home first-place honors at the JV Cup, hosted by Luther College.

The Blugolds scored 24 points to narrowly better themselves from the host Norse's 31. UW-Platteville finished third with 85 points.

Monica Emerson (Jr.-Somerset, Wis.) won the meet individually, covering the 6,000-meter course in 23:47.4.

Steph Dunlavy (Jr.-Colby, Wis.) finished fourth in a time of 24:07.2, Jamie Warner (Waukesha, Wis./West) finished fifth in 24:11.6 and Amy Hart (So.-Sun Prairie, Wis.) took sixth in 24:13.8 to provide a key pack near the top of the race.

Emily Symons (Fr.-Onalaska, Wis.) rounded out the scoring-five by placing eighth in 24:31.9.

The attention for the Blugolds now turns completely on the NCAA Regionals, as the top-eight on the women's team, who didn't run Friday, will attempt to qualify for the 2013 NCAA Division III Championship. The regional meet, hosted by Augustana in Rock Island, Ill., will take place next Saturday.
