EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (blugolds.com) - With the start of spring practice just around the corner on April 3, it is time to release the 2017 University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire volleyball game schedule. The Blugolds look to improve on last year's record and make yet another run in the NCAA Tournament, as they last did so in 2015.

Full Schedule

UW-Eau Claire will open the season on Friday, September 1 from Claremont, California at the Pacific Coast Classic. The opening weekend tournament will see the Blugolds take on three opponents who qualified for the national tournament this past season. They are among the twelve total 2017 opponents who made the NCAA tournament last year.

"We're excited to start our season in Southern California, where we'll not only play high-caliber opponents but also have a great teambuilding experience," said Head Coach Kim Wudi.

Other perennial highlights to circle on the calendar include the two tournaments the Blugolds host in the Nike/Eastbay Fall Classic (September 15-16) and the Sandy Schumacher Memorial Tournament (October 6-7).

Additional home matches on the upcoming slate include conference match-ups with UW-River Falls (Sept. 20), UW-Oshkosh (Sept. 30), and UW-Stout (Oct. 25), as well as non-conference tilts with St. Thomas (Oct. 4) and St. Norbert (Oct. 17).

"Once we return to the Midwest, our schedule will continue to challenge us as we'll face many of the best teams in the region," added Coach Wudi. "We're fortunate to have many parents, friends, and alumni supporting our team, which allows us to have a great fan following on the road as well as at home."

The remaining Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) games take place on September 27 at UW-Platteville, October 11 at UW-La Crosse, October 14 at UW-Stevens Point, and October 27 at UW-Whitewater.

Follow the action all season long on Blugold Game Day.
