EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - Coming off a big win last night, the 16th-ranked UW-Eau Claire volleyball team was unable to repeat its success against 19th-ranked UW-Platteville in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament Championship at the McPhee Physical Education Center today.
The Blugolds (24-9) advanced to the championship match after a 3-1 win over 14th-ranked UW-Whitewater yesterday. But a strong Platteville team, currently on a 19-match winning streak, upset the top-seeded Blugolds 3-1 today.
