Former Blugold Soccer Coach Writes Memoir about Recovery from Disease
Scott Martin was hired as the Blugold women’s soccer coach and associate head resident of Towers Hall in the summer of 1992. He was the third Blugold head coach in the school’s fourth year of varsity women’s soccer, which became a conference sport that fall. Martin's life took a dramatic turn the following summer when he was infected with a virulent strain of the group A streptococci bacteria. He's recently co-written his memoir, "Moving Forward in Reverse," which was published in 2013 and details his long road of rehabilitation.
