- One year as associate head caoch for Division I Lake Superior State in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan (1998-99)
- Head coach and Director of Hockey Operations for the Amarillo Rattlers of the Western Professional Hockey League in Texas (1996-98)
- Head coach and General Manager for the Bellingham Ice Hawks of the British Columbia Junior "A" Hockey League (1993-95)
- Assistant coach and for the Washington-based Tri-City Americans of the Western Junior "A" Hockey League (1992-93)

- Took Bellingham to a divisional championship in its first year in the league and was named the Coach of the Year

- Married to Shannon (a speech and language pathologist at UW-Eau Claire); Has two sons (Braxton and Hutson)
