DE PERE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's hockey was on the road once again this evening as they took on nonconference opponent, St. Norbert College. After trading goals in the 2nd period, both teams would finish out the game in a 1-1 tie.

The Blugolds came into the game looking to bounce back after a road loss to Hamline University on Tuesday. Despite two scoreless periods of play, Eau Claire outshot the Green Knights 30 to 18.

After St. Norbert scored on the power-play just 3 minutes into the second, it was Morgan Zirbel (Fr.-Green Bay, WI / Ashwaubenon) scoring her third goal of the year to tie the game at one.

The Blugolds struggled on the power-play once again going 0 for 7 throughout the game.

Eau Claire will look to bounce back as they travel to Fond du Lac, WI to take Marian University on Saturday. Puck drop is scheduled for 5:00PM and you can follow all the action live at blugolds.com/gameday.
