    • In 2007-08, team finished 12th in the nation in highest team GPA, maintaining a 3.436 throughout the course of the season
  • Blugolds Supported by a large and loyal fan following
    • Led all of Division III women's basketball in attendance in 2003-04 averaging 1,105 fans per home game
    • Also led Division III in attendance in 2002-03
      • Average attendance in three WIAC tournament games was 1,294 fans and 1,761 fans in six NCAA tournament contest. That season in four home NCAA tournament games the Blugolds averaged 2,103 people per game.
    • In 2008-09 the Blugolds were second in NCAA Division III in attendance at home games, averaging 1,055
    • In 2011-12 the Blugolds were third in NCAA Division III and led WIAC in attendance at home games, averaging 711
    • 2007-08 season the Blugolds also led the WIAC in attendance and finished seventh in country in highest home attendance average
  • Blugolds active in community
    • Involved in programs such as Blugold Buddies, Reading in Schools, public speaking engagements for service/school groups, service projects at area food shelters and attendance at area youth practices among other activities
  • Coaching Experience
    • Head girls' coach at Roseville High School for six seasons
      • Final year at Roseville (1999-00), Englund had the No. 1-ranked team in the state heading into the Minnesota state tournament
      • Englund was a Ms. Basketball Minnesota Chairperson, a region representative, a member of the Girls' Basketball Advisory Council and a member of the All-Star Selection Committee
  • Playing Experience
    • Finished College at University of St. Thomas
      • Led Tommies to a national championship and was named to the Final Four All-Tournament Team
    • Started College on full scholarship at Division I University of Wyoming in Laramie
      • Was a two-year starter
      • Earned All-Conference honors as a freshman
    • Attended Hill-Murray High School
      • All-Conference, All-Metro, All-State and All-America
      • Four-year starter was captain and team MVP as a senior, Hill-Murray Athlete of the Year, MVP of the 1987 Minnesota state tournament, MVP of the 1988 Minnesota All-Star Game and a Ms. Basketball Minnesota finalist
  • Earned her bachelor's degree in physical education and coaching in 1994 and then received her master's degree in athletic administration from St. Thomas in May of 1998.
  • Developed the Blugold Women's Basketball Advisory Committee, the Blugold Women's Basketball Fastbreak Fan club and led a project that raised significant funding to renovate and create a team study area/locker room in Zorn Arena
  • During the summer, Englund is the camp director of the Blugold Girls' Basketball and Leadership Camps, a camp that attracts more than 600 participants each summer.
  • During playing and coaching career she was mentored by legendary MN Hall of Fame College/High School basketball coach Bob Erdman, played high school basketball for Ruth Sinn (current University of St. Thomas coach) and played collegiately for highly successful coaches Chad Lavin (retired University of South Dakota head basketball coach and 2008 NCAA Division II Coach of the Year) and Ted Riverso (current University of Minnesota assistant basketball coach).
  • Has had several players go on to pursue coaching careers at the high school, college and professional levels. Included in that group are former players Becca (Carstensen) Saal (head women's volleyball coach at Carroll College), Brooke (Wozniak) Schmidt (head track and field coach at Rice Lake High School), Janel (Soppeland) Seaholm (former head girl's coach at Cadott High School), Becca (Spaeth) Bestul ( former assistant women's coach at UW-Eau Claire/asst. coach EC North), Heidi Arciszewski ( former assistant women's coach at UW-Eau Claire), Jessie (Brantner) Maas ( former head girl's coach at Eau Claire Memorial), Sarah (Hughes) Brenner ( former head girl's coach Augusta High School), Kristi Channing (former assistant women's coach UW-Eau Claire), Megan (Murphy) Jacobsen ( former assistant women's coach St. Thomas, MN), Amanda Zenner (former assistant women's coach at UW-Eau Claire), Michelle Burns (Varsity girl's coach at Spooner High School), Angie Foschi (former head girl's coach at Falcon High School, CO), Amy Lulich (former Blugold assistant coach - former head coach at Manawa High School), Carolyn Kieger (former player of Englund's at Roseville High school now 1st assistant at Miami Florida.
  • Also a senior lecturer in the Kinesiology Department and is the coaching minor advisor
