WAVERLY, Iowa (Blugolds.com) - For the second time in as many Saturdays, the UW-Eau Claire women's basketball team fell victim to a late opposing comeback on the road, this time at the hands of Wartburg College.
The Knights erased an eight-point second half deficit and knocked three free throws in the final minute to edge the Blugolds 60-58.

The Blugolds built on the momentum from the end of the first half and carried it into the second. They were up 48-40 with just under 11 minutes left to play after Madison Johnson (So.-Osceola, Wis.) sunk a pair of free throws. Then, the Knights closed out the game on a 20-10 run to extend Eau Claire's losing streak to three games.
Kristin Sahr (Jr.-Stillwater, Minn.) came off the bench to score her season-high 16 points. Courtney Lewis (Jr.-Prairie du Chien, Wis.) also recorded a double-double by scoring 10 points and pulling down 11 rebounds.
