Emily Muller joined the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire softball team as a freshman in 2009 and is now in her 4th year as assistant coach for the Blugolds.
In her first year as an assistant coach, the team won the WIAC Conference Championship and was a NCAA Tournament qualifier. In her third season as an assistant coach, the team again captured the WIAC Conference Championship.
Muller played for four years at UW-Eau Claire and received Academic All-WIAC recognition all four years. In 2012, the Blugolds won the WIAC Conference Championship. Muller ended her senior season that year as a 1st team All-WIAC Shortstop and grabbed 3rd-Team All Great Lakes Region honors. Between 2010-2012 Muller earned three NFCA Academic All-American awards and in 2010 she was an All-WIAC Honorable Mention Outfielder.
In high school, Muller was a three-sport athlete in volleyball, basketball, and softball. In softball, she was four-time All-Region, three-time All-State, four-time 1st-Team All-Conference, and was the Southwest Wisconsin Conference Player of the Year as a senior in 2008. In basketball, she was a two-time All-Region and two-time 1st-Team All-Conference award winner.
Muller earned her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology-Human Performance from UW–Eau Claire in 2012. She earned her Master’s Degree in Occupational therapy from the University of Minnesota in 2014. She is currently a Registered Occupational Therapist for the Mayo Clinic Health System–Northwest Wisconsin Region.
Muller has one brother and two sisters, one of which is UW-Eau Claire alumni.
