Emily Muller joined the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire’s softball team in 2009 when she was a player. Now, Muller is in her third year as assistant coach for the Blugolds.
In Muller’s first year as an assistant coach, the team won the WIAC Conference Championships and was a NCAA Tournament qualifier.
Muller played four years at UW-Eau Claire, scooping up several awards, including Academic All-WIAC all four years. In 2012 the team won the WIAC Conference Championship and 3rd-Team All Great Lakes Region. Also in 2012 she earned All-WIAC 1st Team Shortstop award. Between 2010-2012 she earned NFCA Academic All-American awards. In 2010 Muller earned All-WIAC Honorable Mention Outfielder honors.
In high school Muller was three-sport athlete in volleyball, basketball, and softball. In softball she was a four-time All-Region, three-time All-State, four-time 1st-Team All-Conference, and Southwest Wisconsin Conference Player of the Year in Softball in 2008. In basketball she earned two-time All-Region and two-time 1st-Team All-Conference awards.
Muller earned her undergraduate degree in kinesiology-human performance from the university in 2012. She completed her coursework in the Occupational Therapy Master’s program at the University of Minnesota in December 2014 and will receive her degree at the completion of her clinical work this summer.
Muller has one brother and two sisters, one of which is UW-Eau Claire alumni.
