LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Blugolds.com) - With 10 RBIs on 11 hits, three doubles, three runs scored and five walks drawn during the week, University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire (11-1) senior first baseman Sarah Fern (Brooklyn Center, Minn./Park Center) has earned Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division III Player of the Week honors for the period stretching from March 18 through March 25.

Fern and the Blugolds finished 7-1 last week with the sole loss coming against then No. 8 ranked Tufts University. In the eight games played, Fern posted four multi-hit games with her best effort coming in a 3-for-4 performance against Plymouth State with two doubles and four RBIs.
Her one home run over the eight contests came against SUNY-Geneseo in a 2-for-4 showing with three RBIs.

The Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division III Player of the Week is voted on by the NFCA Division III Top 25 Committee featuring eight representatives from the eight Division III softball regions. Player of the Week honors reflect performances from the previous week of play.
