(Blugolds.com) - The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire cross country program announced the 2017 team awards Sunday evening at their year-end banquet.  The awards, which are decided by team voting, include: Most Valuable Newcomer, Most Improved, Most Valuable, and the Blugold Award.

    NEW ORLEANS (Blugolds.com) – After winning the NCAA Division III national title on Saturday, University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire’s Darin Lau (Sr. – Eau Claire, WI/Immanuel Lutheran) has been named  the Men’s National Athlete of the Year for the 2017 NCAA Division III Cross Country season, announced Tuesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

  • Men’s Cross Country Fourth at NCAA Midwest Regional Championship; Lau Regional Champion

    Rock Island, ILL. (Blugolds.com) – On a near perfect day for a cross country meet, the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men’s cross country team raced to the occasion. The Blugolds placed 4th out of 36 teams at the NCAA Midwest Regional Championship, and qualified for the NCAA National Championship for the 5th consecutive year.
  • Men’s Cross Country Wins Luther Saga Cup Challenge; Lueck First Overall

    DECORAH, Iowa. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men’s cross country team won the Luther Saga Cup Challenge in a dominating performance this past weekend. The Blugolds scored just 27 points, beating runner-up Iowa Central’s 48 points.
  • Men’s Cross Country Third Place at WIAC Championships; Lau Earns Individual Title and Course Record

    WHITEWATER, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men’s cross country team competed at the WIAC Championships this past weekend, earning a third place finish. The men’s top five runners scored 81 points, behind UW-Stout’s 64 points and UW-La Crosse’s 35 points.

    EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men’s cross country team won their fourth annual running of the City Wells 5k. In a dual against nearby UW-Stout, the Blugolds displayed their team’s depth. The Blugolds scored 22 points to the Blue Devils’  34.

(Blugolds.com) - The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's cross country runner Darin Lau (Eau Claire, Wis.), women's cross country runner Sam Slattery (Waunakee,Wis.), men's swimmer Dayton Miller (Rochester, Minn.) and women's diver Bailei Hughes (Winona, Minn.) have each been named Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Athletes of the Week, it was announced today by Assistant Commissioner of Media Relations Matt Stanek.

    EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The No. 6-ranked University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men’s cross country team had another strong showing this past weekend at the Blugold Invite. The men placed second out of 13 teams, scoring 80 points. No. 4 UW-La Crosse won the meet with 33 points.

    EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men’s cross country has been a national competitor the last several seasons, and their season opening victory indicates they’ll continue the trend. The Blugolds, entering the season ranked 5th in the nation, won the St. Olaf Invite this weekend, placing 1st out of 19 teams.
