EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - The UW-Eau Claire men's golf team recently distributed its annual team awards for the 2013-14 season, head coach Mike Greer announced.
Named Most Valuable Player was Brady Hanson (Fr.-Woodbury, Minn./East Ridge). Leading the Blugolds this season, Hanson averaged 74.9 strokes per round while competing in a total of 11 rounds in six different tournaments. He finished in the top 10 five times, in the top five three times and won one event, the Twin Cities Classic last fall that featured 100 golfers.
Honored as the Most Improved Player was Eric Hagstrom (So.-Middleton, Wis.). Golfing in eight rounds at five different events, Hagstrom averaged 77.4 strokes per round. He finished in the top 10 at three tournaments, and had one top-five finish.
