SAUK CENTRE, Minn. (Blugolds.com) – The UW-Eau Claire men's golf team took 11th place out of 21 teams at the 2012 Saint John's Fall Invitational today.
The Blugolds finished with 623 strokes over the two-day event. The University of Manitoba won with 590 strokes while Nebraska Wesleyan University was second with 592 and Gustavus Adolphus College was third with 599.
Leading the Blugolds was Ben Brooks (Jr.-Beaver Dam, Wis.), who tied for 19th place out of 113 golfers with 152 strokes.
Bryce Barr of Manitoba and Josh Grisa of UW-Stout had the lowest two-round total of 143.
Next weekend, the Blugolds will host their annual Frank Wrigglesworth Blugold Collegiate Invitational. Action will get underway Sunday and will conclude Monday.
