This is Brent Larson’s second season as assistant men’s basketball coach at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 2016-2017.

The Blugold's finished off their 2015-2016 season tying for second place in the WIAC with a 9-5 record, and a 17-10 record overall.

Larson was the head varsity basketball coach at Somerset High School for six years with a 76-61 record. In 2013-2014 his team was the Conference Co-Champs. He made three appearances at the regional championships.

His collegiate basketball was split between Central Michigan University and UW-Stevens Point. At UW-Stevens Point Larson led the team to two WIAC championships in 2000 and 2001 and was All-Conference.

Larson received his bachelor’s degree in biology at UW-Stevens Point and earned his master’s degree in physical therapy at UW-La Crosse.

Larson resides in Somerset, WI with his wife Katie and their three children, Devin (6), Lucas (4), and Alyssa (2).
