EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - Six UW-Eau Claire Athletics teams were in action today, two at home and four on the road.

Facing two teams in Illinois, the men's tennis team started the day with a loss but then bounced back with a win, the Blugolds' first of the year, to finish 1-1 at the Centre Court Athletic Club today.

UW-Oshkosh 32, UW-Eau Claire 20
Down by just six points headed into the final match, the Blugold wrestlers came up just short, 32-20, against UW-Oshkosh in the McPhee Physical Education Center tonight. Eau Claire won four matches and was down by just six points heading into the final match of the night.
John Zuerlein Invite - 2nd of 3
The women's gymnastics team finished in second place out of three teams at the John Zuerlein Invitational at UW-Stout tonight. UW-Stout won the meet with a score of 183.550 while the Blugolds took second with 178.975 points. Hamline University (Minn.) finished in third place with 177.675 points. Two Blugolds won events, Elizabeth Stubbs in the floor exercise and Leah Robinette on the uneven bars.
UW-Eau Claire 3, UW-Superior 0
The fourth-ranked men's hockey team won its third straight game, taking down UW-Superior 3-0 at Hobbs Ice Center. Three different Blugolds scored goals and Eau Claire outshot the Yellowjackets 43-29. The shutout was the Blugolds' eighth this season.
