EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - It was a busy day at home for UW-Eau Claire Athletics, with five teams competing in Eau Claire while just two were on the road.

UW-La Crosse 162, UW-Eau Claire 90
The women's swimming & diving team took on UW-La Crosse today in the McPhee Physical Education Center. Three Blugolds came away with victories while the team compiled 12 other top-three finishes.
Men's Swimming & Diving
UW-La Crosse 170, UW-Eau Claire 73
The men's swimming & diving team took on UW-La Crosse today in the McPhee Physical Education Center. One Blugold, Alex Card, came away with a victory while the team compiled 13 total top-three finishes.
Two wrestlers, Nathaniel Behnke and Ryan Seidler, won their weight classes at the 2013 Pointer Open, hosted by UW-Stevens Point today.
UW-Eau Claire 3, UW-La Crosse 0 (25-23, 25-21, 25-21)
The women's volleyball team bounced back from a loss last night in the WIAC Semifinals to defeat UW-La Crosse 3-0 in the third place match of the WIAC Championship at UW-Stevens Point today. Leading the Blugolds with 13 kills was Kelly Schuh while Keagan Kinsella finished with 11. Kinsella led the match with a .474 hitting percentage.
UW-Oshkosh 42, UW-Eau Claire 14
While the football team gave up 42 points through the first three quarters, the Blugolds were able to hold eighth-ranked UW-Oshkosh scoreless in the fourth quarter in a 42-14 loss on Senior Day at Carson Park today. Oshkosh scored 35 points before halftime with three passing and two rushing touchdowns but the Blugolds came out stronger in the second half and outscored the Titans 14-7.
St. Catherine (Minn.) 2, UW-Eau Claire 1
After defeating St. Catherine University (Minn.) on the road 3-0 last night, the women's hockey team fell 2-1 to the Wildcats at Hobbs Ice Center today. Afteer getting down 2-0, the Blugolds fought back as Tory Heller scored at 16:35 in the third period on a power-play.
UW-Eau Claire 3, Saint John's (Minn.) 1
The No. 1-ranked men's hockey team won its second game to open the 2013-14 season unbeaten after the first weekend. Tonight the Blugolds defeated 15th-ranked Saint John's University (Minn.) 3-1 at Hobbs Ice Center. The Blugolds (2-0-0) have now won six straight games going back to last season, tying the third longest winning streak in school history. Tonights goals came on a power-play, short-handed and even-strength.
