The Blugolds competed at the Wartburg College Invitational today at Centennial Oaks Golf Club in Waverly, Iowa. Kate Engler is currently tied for first place with 74 strokes while the Blugolds are in sixth place out of 15 teams. Sunday the Blugolds will compete in the second and final round.
UW-Eau Claire 1, Augsburg (Minn.) 1 (2 OT)
While it looked like the UW-Eau Claire women's soccer team would be handed its first loss of the season at Augsburg College (Minn.) tonight, a goal with two seconds remaining helped keep the Blugolds' unbeaten record intact as the teams played to a 1-1 double overtime tie. With two seconds remaining in regulation, a Blugold pass in front of the goal was redirected by an Augsburg player and into the net to put the Blugolds on the scoreboard.
