Ben Halder enters his eighth season as assistant football coach in 2015-2016 at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

Halder has been the offensive line coach for the Blugolds since 2010, coaching seven All-WIAC players and one All-American. In the 2012-2013 season the Blugolds were the Leading Rusher in the WIAC. He also serves as special teams coordinator since 2009, coaching two more All-WIAC players. 

Before coming to UW-Eau Claire Halder coached at Marietta College for five seasons between 2003 and 2008. Between 2006 and 2008 Halder served as the defensive coordinator for the Pioneers. He coached two All-Americans and six All-OAC players. As an offensive line coach he coached three All-OAC players.

Halder graduated from Minnesota State University-Mankato in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education. There he was a three-year starter on the defensive line. In 1998 and 1999 he earned Academic All-Conference Awards. He also received the Maverick Achievement Award. In 2005 he earned his Masters of Education.

Halder is married to Bridgette and they have two daughters, Paige (9) and Carly (7).

Halder recruits for the following areas: Southeast Minnesota – Chicago suburbs – Central Suburban (North, South), DuPage Valley, Fox Valley (Fox, Valley), North Suburban (Lake, Prairie), Upstate Eight (Valley), and West Suburban (Gold, Silver).
