Hirsch led the Blugolds with 82 receiving yards on four catches this weekend against 18th-ranked UW-Platteville. On the Blugolds’ final touchdown drive, he caught a 25-yard pass and followed with a 31-yard catch and the Blugolds then scored a two-yard rushing touchdown on the following play.
Burzynski provided good coverage on the special teams units this weekend against 18th-ranked UW-Platteville. He had one tackle covering a kickoff and also had one return on the final kickoff of the first half.
Stephenson helped the Blugolds to two wins over UW-Stout to open the season this weekend. Playing 120 minutes, he stopped 52 shots and gave up just three goals. Friday, in a 4-2 win over the Blue Devils, Stephenson recorded 30 saves while giving up just two goals in the third period. Saturday he stopped 22 shots, giving up just one goal in the first period as the Blugolds went on to win 4-1.
In the Blugolds’ season-opener on Saturday, Badilla took second in the three-meter dive and fifth in the one-meter against UW-Stevens Point and NCAA Division II St. Cloud State University (Minn.). He earned 287.55 points in the three-meter event, just five points away from the winner from St. Cloud. In the one-meter, Badilla scored 251.90 points, behind four divers from St. Cloud.
Card took second in two events as the Blugolds faced UW-Stevens Point and NCAA Division II St. Cloud State University (Minn.) on Saturday. Behind St. Cloud All-Americans, he was runner-up in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 59.64 seconds and in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:09.19.
Bowker had the Blugolds’ lone goal this weekend as the team opened the season with two games against Bethel University (Minn.). Saturday, she scored her first collegiate goal at 7:09 in the third period.
Behrenbrinker helped the Blugolds to a second place finish in the WIAC this season after the team beat UW-La Crosse 2-1 in double overtime Saturday. She made four saves against the Eagles, playing 109:40 and giving up just one goal. For the season, she is now 9-7-2 overall.
Dennehy was instrumental in giving the Blugolds a 2-1 double overtime win Saturday against UW-La Crosse, allowing the Blugolds to finish second in the WIAC this season. Down 1-0, Dennehy scored a goal in the 75th minute and then scored the game-winner just 20 seconds before the final horn sounded in the second overtime.
On Oct. 27, Baker took third in both the one and three-meter dives facing UW-Stevens Point and NCAA Division II St. Cloud State University (Minn.). In the one-meter, she scored 236.10, narrowly missing second place while she finished in front of two St. Cloud divers. In the three-meter, she scored 234.55, finishing less than three points out of first place behind two St. Cloud Divers.
Snell helped the Blugolds to two wins this weekend, beating UW-La Crosse 3-1 Friday and UW-Platteville 3-2 Saturday, allowing the Blugolds to tie for second place in the WIAC. Friday against the Eagles, she led the match with 17 kills, a career-high. Snell had 14 kills Saturday against the Pioneers. For the week, she also had 11 block assists.
