Playing in two singles and two doubles matches this weekend, Meier went 2-0 in singles play and 1-1 in doubles. Friday he won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 3 singles while he and partner Ryan Vande Linde won 8-4 at No. 1 doubles, helping the Blugolds to a 7-2 win over St. Norbert College. Saturday while the Blugolds fell just short, 5-4, to Lawrence University, Meier again won 6-1, 6-2 at No. 3 singles but he and Vande Linde dropped their No. 1 doubles match 9-8 (7-4).
Competing as an all-arounder for the first time this season, Schulzetenberg helped the Blugolds to a 183.000-174.575 victory over Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.) in the team’s final home meet of the season. Schulzetenberg won the all-around with 36.150 points. She was second on the balance beam with a score of 9.275 and tied for second in the floor exercise with 9.275 points. On the vault, she was fourth with 9.250 points and scored 8.350 to take seventh on the uneven bars.
Competing in three events on Friday, Dougherty helped the Blugolds to a 183.000-174.575 victory over Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.) in the team’s final home meet of the season. Dougherty won both on the uneven parallel bars and in the floor exercise, scoring career-highs in both events. She won the bars with a score of 9.350 and the floor with a score of 9.425.
