Petersen helped the Blugolds to their first conference win Wednesday, a 59-56 victory over UW-Oshkosh, as he scored 10 points and pulled down seven rebounds. Saturday, the Blugolds also came away with a 68-58 victory over UW-River Falls and Petersen finished with a game-high 19 points while grabbing four rebounds. He averaged 14.5 points per game and 5.5 rebounds per contest while playing 29.5 minutes per game. Petersen also finished with six assists, three in each game.
Bingea helped the Blugolds to two wins this week, defeating UW-Oshkosh 52-46 Wednesday and following with a 42-38 win Saturday over UW-River Falls. She averaged 18 points and 6.5 rebounds while also coming away with two steals and three assists. She led the Blugolds in scoring and rebounding in both games with six rebounds and a game-high 22 points Wednesday along with seven rebounds and 14 points Saturday.
Competing in three events Friday, Aschenbrenner helped the Blugolds to a first place finish out of three teams at the UW-Eau Claire Invitational. Aschenbrenner took second on the uneven bars with a season-high score of 9.125 while she was fourth on the balance beam with a 9.225, also a season-high. She also came in ninth in the floor exercise with a 9.100.
Behnke went 4-0 this week competing at 141 pounds. Friday he won against conference opponent UW-Oshkosh, pinning his opponent in 5:10 after he got up by a score of 15-2. Saturday at the Concordia (Wis.) Duals, he won by forfeit against Concordia. He followed up with a 10-0 major decision victory against Lakeland and ended the day with a 5-0 decision over Saint John’s. Behnke is now 19-5 on the season and has won seven straight matches.
