Heltne and Gillman picked up two conference wins this week at No. 1 doubles defeating their UW-Stevens Point opponents 8-1 Friday while beating their UW-Oshkosh opponents 8-3 Saturday. The pair improved to 4-0 in conference play and has won seven straight matches. For the season, they hold a 13-2 overall record.
In two matches this week, Nelson went 2-0 playing at No. 5 singles. Friday, she gave up just one game as she beat her UW-Stevens Point opponent 6-1, 6-0. Against UW-Oshkosh on Saturday, she fell in the first set 6-3, but came back to pick up the match victory 6-1, 10-8.
Neave helped the Blugolds to a 3-0 victory over UW-Oshkosh on Saturday. She finished with 37 of the team’s 40 set assists to lead the match and also had four digs and two kills in two attempts. Neave also finished with a match-high two service aces.
