Sigrist won the hammer throw at Friday’s Wartburg Select in Waverly, Iowa where the Blugolds finished in second place. He won the event with a distance of 58.32 meters (191-4), setting a new school record. The previous school record was 57.12 meters (187-5), set by Dan Schmidt on May 30, 1992. The toss allowed Schmidt to finish in fifth place at nationals in 1992.
Meinen had two appearances in four games this week and went 1-0. Facing UW-River Falls in game two on Wednesday, Meinen pitched a complete game and a shutout as the Blugolds won 3-0. She struck out three batters and allowed just six hits as the Blugolds recorded their first shutout over River Falls since 2010. For the week, she finished with five strikeouts in 12.1 innings pitched and had an ERA of 2.84.
Bromelkamp helped the Blugolds to a 3-1 record this week, leading the team with a .583 batting average as she went 7-for-12. She had a team-best four doubles while recording seven RBI and a team-high 11 total bases for a .917 slugging percentage. She also had an on-base percentage of .571 and scored two runs. On Saturday in an 11-10 win over St. Scholastica (Minn.), Bromelkamp had three hits and four RBI and scored one of the Blugolds’ four runs in the seventh as the Blugolds came from behind to win. On defense, she finished with 17 putouts and two assists with no errors.

Greenup helped the Blugolds to a third-place finish at the Wartburg Select on Friday. She won the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.19 seconds and was on the 4x400-meter relay team that took fourth place with a time of 3:57.52.
