Men's Basketball - Nick Craggs, Forward, 6-6, 200, Junior, Kimberly, Wis.In two games this week, Craggs helped the Blugolds split wins, defeating UW-Oshkosh 79-67 Wednesday before falling 88-76 to UW-River Falls on Saturday. In the game Wednesday, Craggs scored a career and game-high 26 points. He finished 11-for-12 from the floor, including going 3-for-3 from beyond the arc. He also led the Blugolds with six rebounds. On Saturday, Craggs scored 10 points and pulled down four rebounds. For the week, he also had two steals and two assists.
Women's Basketball - Ellen Plendl, Center, 6-5, Senior, Chippewa Falls, Wis./McDonellPlendl helped lead the 25th-ranked Blugolds to two wins last week, taking down UW-Oshkosh 52-47 Wednesday and following with a 63-57 win over 17th-ranked UW-River Falls on Saturday. In the win over Oshkosh, Plendl was the Blugolds’ second-leading scorer and rebounder as she finished with 10 points and nine boards. She also had seven blocks. Saturday, Plendl tied her career high with 18 rebounds (three offensive, 15 defensive) while scoring seven points. She also had five blocks against the Falcons. For the week, Plendl finished with seven assists and three steals.
Gymnastics All-Around - Olivia Aschenbrenner, Sophomore, Cedarburg, Wis./GraftonAschenbrenner helped the Blugolds to a victory at their home invite Friday as she took second in the all-around competition. She finished with a score of 35.825. Aschenbrenner took seventh on the beam with a score of 9.025, eighth in the floor exercise with a 9.100, ninth on the uneven bars with an 8.575 and 13th on the vault with a 9.125.
Gymnastics Specialist - Danielle Schulzetenberg, Junior, Maple Grove, Minn.Competing in three events Friday at the UW-Eau Claire Invite, Schulzetenberg helped the Blugolds to a victory at the invite. She won the balance beam with a score of 9.400 and took second in two other events, the vault and floor exercise. She finished with scores of 9.450 and 9.375 in the respective events.
