Petersen led the Blugolds in rebounding this weekend in their conference opener at UW-La Crosse. He finished with eight boards, which was also a game-high, and added nine points, playing 36 minutes. Petersen also had a game-high four assists.
Andersen scored two goals for the Blugolds as they went on the defeat Stevens Point Friday night 4-1. His first goal of the night was the eventual game winning goal that came in the last seven seconds of the second period. Then in the third period, he put the final nail in the coffin for the Blugolds with another last minute goal.
At the St. Cloud State University Diving Invite this weekend, Badilla took fifth in both the one and three-meter dives. In the one-meter, he scored 478.90 while he finished with a 465.90 in the three-meter. Both scores were national qualifying marks.
Rose competed in a number of relays and swam well this past weekend at the UW-River Falls Falcon Invitational. Rose was part of the 400-yard freestyle relay team that finished in fourth place with a time of 3:12.48
Halama finished with a double-double as the Blugolds beat UW-La Crosse 53-47 Saturday in both teams’ WIAC opener. She scored 12 points to tie for a team high and grabbed 11 rebounds. She also had one block and went 6-for-7 from the field.
Hatcher was solid on defense for the Blugolds this past weekend as they went on to split with 10th-ranked Adrian College (Mich.). Friday night she helped the Blugolds hold the Bulldogs to only one goal in the Blugolds’ 2-1 win. Saturday night she continued her strong defensive performance as the Blugolds only gave up 20 shots. Hatcher was part of the line that scored the only goal for the Blugolds in the 4-1 loss Saturday night.
Kennedy led the Blugolds this weekend at the Candlewood Suites UW-La Crosse Duals as he went 3-0 on the day. He recorded three pins while the Blugolds went 1-2 at the duals. He opened the day with a pin over Brett Hamm of fifth-ranked Cornell College (Iowa) in 2:36. He followed that with a pin in 1:44 against Josh Porter of Loras College (Iowa) and ended the day with a pin in 4:54 over Gabe Vasquez of Waldorf College (Iowa).
Dorvinen had a superb weekend as the Blugolds competed at the UW-River Falls Falcon Invitational. She won two races, the 200-yard butterfly and the 400-yard individual medley. Dorvinen completed the respective races with times of 2:07.87 and 4:36.40, both of which were B-cut times for nationals. She was also second in the 1,650-yard freestyle with a time of 17:29.52, also a B-cut time of nationals. She won the 400 IM less than 35 minutes after completing the 1,650 freestyle.
