Goetsch had a career-day against UW-Whitewater on Saturday as he caught 11 passes for 177 yards. He played a crucial role in setting up the Blugolds’ final score of the day as he had back-to-back long receptions (one of 43 yards and another of 35 yards) to get the Blugolds down the field quickly. His 177 yards rank 10th on the Blugolds’ all-time list for most receiving yards in a game while his 11 catches tie for sixth.
Singer scored two goals and picked up an assist in a 5-3 win over Hamline University (Minn.) on Saturday. Singer got things going and started a scoring rally for the Blugolds in the second period when he scored his third goal of the season at 7:55. The Blugolds followed his goal with three more that period and he was able to assist on one of them, his second assist of the season. In the third period, Singer clinched the win, scoring the last goal of the night at 5:35. Friday night in a 5-0 win over Bethel University (Minn.), Singer scored the game’s first goal, which proved to be the game-winner, early in the second period.
Simones scored her first goal of the season and recorded her first assist as the Blugolds opened up NCHA play against St. Scholastica. She scored the first goal of the game only a minute in to put the Blugolds on the board Saturday. Later on in the second period, she assisted on a goal to help tie the game up for the Blugolds at 2-2.
